Trey was born November 19,2009. He was born 2 months premature. He weighed 3lbs 7oz and 14in. long. He was born at Utah Valley in Provo. Because he was born so early hae had to stay in the NICU. He was there for a month, and came home the 20th of December. Just before Christmas. He was our little Christmas present. His Big brother Braxton was so excited to finally meet hsi baby brother. He couldn't stop hugging and kissing him. Still to this day Brax is very close to Trey!! As a new born baby they tested his hearing and he failed. So after many tests we found out that he is deaf. He got a cochlear implant when he was about 16 months old. The implant is a device that makes it so he can hear. There is a piece that goes on the inside of his skin. So he had to have surgery to get that part. But than there is an outter piece that is basically the hearing part. They connect together by magnets. We call it his ears, because basically it is. Without the outter piece of device he cannot hear. He has to take it off for bed and bath. He will have to have speech therapy probably all through school at least.
Trey is a very active kid. We call him Monster, or Baby Godzilla. He loves to climb on everything. And he can literally desrtoy a room in a matter of 2 seconds. He definately keeps us on our toes, but we love him no matter what!
